well I had an annual bearing inspection performed while my rig was in for warranty work per Dexter's warranty and they found 3 out of 4 of the rubber caps were ripped. it's an 08 with maybe 300 miles on it. they suggested I buy the snap on chrome hub covers so I did we'll see how they work. With my "preferred Customer" discount they ran me 35 bucks. heck they make the wheels look nicer I guess.

I put caps on mine as well assuming it would keep water, sand, gravel, mud out of the seal area thus reducing the risk of damage.

My '05' Eagle has the chrome caps and seem to be holding up pretty good. I just ordered ($60) a set of wheel trim rings (chrome) a couple of days ago, I'll post a photo once I get them so you can see how they look up against the existing chrome hub covers.

Installed the "Beauty Rings" to day, and IMO they don't look to bad.
