Hybrid Trailers
anyone own a Hybrid? how do you like it. I ruled them out because I didn't want to spend so much on a trailer with Canvas components but as I get older and see how these have lasted I am changing my mind on them any opinions?
Re: Hybrid Trailers
One thing I really liked about our previous hybrid was that we were towing a 26' trailer but it offered so much more living space with the 3 bunks opened up. I liked the open feeling of a hybrid, but the setup/take down time and effort got old. Besides the fact that it we packed up after a rain we would have to open it back up at home to dry out the canvas.

RE:Hybrid Trailers
I bypassed the hybrids because I was tired of taking down in or after the rain, then going homeand setting it up to dry out.It got frustrating. Now no problems

RE: Hybrid Trailers
Bought ours last year, upgrade from a PUP, haven't had any problems. Set up and take down easy!! Husband has diabetes and suffers with some leg problems associated with it, so has trouble at times moving around and bending. This HTT has been so great and provides plenty of room even when turtled in!!

Re: Hybrid Trailers
Yes that is also one of the reasons we moved up to a fifth wheel. We loved or Hybrid but the braking down and the setup got old with us using it every other weekend and the fiver has the same open feeling.Wiscampsin wrote:One thing I really liked about our previous hybrid was that we were towing a 26' trailer but it offered so much more living space with the 3 bunks opened up. Re: Hybrid Trailers
We go camping quite a bit with two other families, each of them have hybrids. They are both looking to upgrade to a TT w/ slides because the set up gets to be a pain. I think they are just jealous that I can set up and have a beer in hand quicker!

Re: Hybrid Trailers
We own a 07 EXP 26L. It only has the one tent and a small slide in the living area. Love the roominess and options. We went out a few weeks ago just to arrive with the rain. Didn't have to open the tent to enjoy the trip.

Hybrid
We liked the floorplan, more living space since ends fold out.
Second owner and Jayco allowed to transfer remaining warranty
only about 6 mos. but anything sure helps. If you know its going
to rain just fold up ends and sleep on couch.Like the dual waterheater
gas/elec and the large 2 door refridgerator. The company stands behind
what they build and repairs are really taken care of with no hassle.

Re: Hybrid Trailers
We loved our 23b. Just the setup and tear down time were inconvienent. Especially if the weather didn't cooperate. If the canvas was wet you have to come home and let it dry out before repacking it back up. Also didn't like the lack of security and leaving the trailer at the campground with the tents out.
