I have a rubber roof on my RV. What is the best way to clear the snow off? Would a roof rake damage it? Opinions/advise. Thanks

gserve

I would use a soft bristle push broom to pull it off from each side and from the front and back. Don't get on the roof as it may be slippery. You'll probably have to be on a ladder with someone holding it to stabilize it. Be careful not to bang into any plastic vents on the roof as they will be very brittle in the cold.

I used the roof rake when we had the cover on ours. This year we did not have the cover on or as much snow and yesterday I found it was a little loose and used a floor squeege to push the snow to one side. Did all of this from a ladder on the side of the unit but did not remove snow from the covers or anywhere near the antennas. Figured it would melt from these areas if the snow was off the rest of the trailer.

Storing it tipped helped get it sliding and off the side.
