12V socket problem Empty 12V socket problem

Post  gserve Fri Jul 03, 2009 12:46 pm

Hi, I have a 2006 Jayco Jay feather Sport 186 with the amplified TV antenna which also includes a 12V socket it says for "12V TV only". The problem is this socket is to small to fit any standard 12V plug. Is there an adapter or something to use with this? Do 12V TV's have a smaller plug? Thanks

gserve

How much smaller? Like it is just tight or is it not even close to being the same size? I have had trailers that were tight before and all it took was to buy Y adaptor and get it into there once and just leave it. Then you can use one or both of the other ends to your liking. Hope this helps.

I have a Radio Shack 2 outlet 12V splitter plugged into mine. It's a tight fit, but it does go in. I use it to charge my cellphone as the 110 AC outlet is occupied with the TV and DVD/VCR player.
