Hi, I am new to this forum and TT's. I just purchased my first TT a 2006 Jayco jay feather sport 186. My tow vehicle is a 2000 Chevy Blazer with a 4.3 V6 190 HP factory tow package. The decal on the door states 5350 lbs GVWR. The TT states 3750 lbs GVWR. I only have a Reese standard draw bar and 2" ball. I drove it home from the dealer (approx 5 miles) and every thing seems OK. Do you think I need any sway bars? Anybody have a similar TT and truck who could give me advise?

Are you asing about a sway control or WD bars? Personally I would get a WD hitch with sway control. Im not sure of your TV limits, but it would be safer IMHO. Also probably make you a little less white knuckled when towing.

the wd hitch makes it a lot safer and the sway bar
really helps in windy conditions and when the big trucks
are passing.

The 186 UVW is 2,950lbs, the GVWR of the TT is 3,750lbs. (as you stated), and Jayco states that the unloaded tongue weight is 320lbs.. To confirm your actual "loaded" weights you have to visit a CAT scale. But under most towing conditions, even with your TV/TT combination, you will find the addition of a standard friction control sway bar will enhance your control of the TT in less than ideal towing conditions (wind, rough roads, etc..).
