Flat panel Vibration
I just bought a 22" lcd for my jayflight. I made a wood stand for it that I am going to screw into the entertainment center much like the G2's. Should I do anything else for traveling I just don't want it damaged from vibration
Re: Flat panel Vibration
I do not have direct experience with mounting a LCD but I have worked with electronic items for 40+ years and most do not like sharp vibration, Many of the solder joints will fatigue and fail overtime. I would add some soft rubber to act as a shock mount to reduce the hard shock and vibration.
I will be soon adding two 25 inch LCD,s into mine and will work up some way to shock mount them. The other way is to make it easily removable and when traveling place it between the bed mattresses, just dont let the kids jump on the bed...
