TurboMax was a great mod, but I really like the safety that was added when I installed an amber clearance light to each side of my 5er right about 1/2 way back, and hooked it into my turn signals. Now when I change lanes, the lane next to me usually notices my intent to turn or change lanes...much safer. Should be required safety equipment!

Excellent idea! I agree, should be required safety equipment. How high up did you place them?

We have amber markers at the halfway point on our TT. Is there a way to make them blink with your turn signals, rather than just act as marker lights?

Added three, 1/8" tinted Plexglas panels to my screen door so that I can leave my outer door open with the heat or air on. Also brings in more light since I lack windows on this side of my TT. The Plexy is attached with short strips of commercial grade Velcro for easy removal. If I did it again I would use a Lexon material, won't crack.

I ordered the variable speed control for the bathroom fan so I can slow it down.
Easy install, works great.
On cold days it pulled so much air it got cold in a hurry with out the speed control.

I've only had my 32BHDS for a couple of months, but here's a few I've done:

Hensley Arrow - very nice hitch
Tornado Tank Flusher - a "must have" IMO
Added a simple "touch / dome light" in the big rear storage area - pretty convienent.

Just added a "back up camera" to the truck, and using the 4" adapter for my Hensley Arrow put's it dead center of the lower 1/3 of the screen - I can't wait to use it when I pick up the trailer from storage on Thursday!

"To Do" list
Add shelving to the wardrobe across from the bathroom
Add "corner guards" to the shower to stop water from sneaking out.

what's your favorite mod? Empty Corner Guards

Post  ellen and shawn Fri Mar 27, 2009 5:25 pm

Where would you find corner guards. We ordered our Jayco 32bhds and I know how messy my kids can get. I don't want water going everywhere when they shower. I'm reading about all of these mods and I am already thinking of things I can do when our trailer is done being built. Told my husband about the beer fridge. I said he could have his own cooler outside, haha.

Great idea for the beer fridge. I looked at a Sierra 5er last year that had an outside mini fridge.
