Hard to open hot & cold water drain valves Empty Hard to open hot & cold water drain valves

Post  Wiscampsin Tue May 12, 2009 8:46 pm

The hot & cold drain valves on our 2008 Eagle TT are extremely difficult to open. The handles look like a 'T' that you pull up to open and push down to close. I don't remember having such a hard time last year. Of course their placement on the rear street side right in front of the rear bumper doesn't help much to access them. I was thinking of putting a couple drops of penetrating oil to help them slide a little better. Any other ideas? Thanks.

I just give my T-valves a little shot of WD-40.

There are also lubricants for the for the black and gray tank valves (link) that work great should they need some attention.
