Re: who keeps their trailer "ready to go"
I keep mine "ready to go (on a short notice)" I don't keep food in it while in storage beacause I think it would be a rodent magnet, but we keep it fully stocked with non-edibles, water bottles and all other supplies. Even a few outfits for us and the kids, but no food.

Re: who keeps their trailer "ready to go"
We are always ready to go but don't have any food in the TT. Several changes of clothes, all towels, etc. Just have to grab makeup and razor. I even keep about 10 gallons in the tank for travel.
If you were to give us 1 hour we could be on the road.

Re: who keeps their trailer "ready to go"
Years ago, we discovered that it was necessary to do everything possible to minimize the effort to go camping, this meant keeping as much as possible in the RV and in its proper place. We have to add some food items, especially fridge items and seasonal clothes. The more difficult is to prepare for camping or to break down on return the less likely we would just get ready and go!
We couldn't justify a bunch of money all at once for items just for the camper, so we accumulated good quality, functional things we needed over a considerable period of time. Now, it adds to the pleasure of camping to use such things as a good coffee pot, nice unbreakable dishes, a nice compact toaster oven, a couple of LCD TV's, etc, just to name a few, and they all stay in the RV.
When returning, we found that it helps to arrange things so that minimum effort is required to unload those things that have to go back in the house. We built the house with an attached RV garage with full hookups and it's only a few steps to the kitchen and laundry room.

Re: who keeps their trailer "ready to go"
My travel trailer is always "ready to go." I see to it that all I need are inside, intact. I maintain a checklist. I also see to it that cleanliness and orderliness are maintained. I never experience cramming in fixing and completing things, I know, I am always ready to go.
