Will be adding my first outside mod to the Eagle. Ultra-Fab 3502 will be put on this weekend if it is warm enough.

First Mod - Electric Tongue Jack Empty tongue jack

Electric tongue jack was one of the first mods I made. I was having trouble with breaking the trailer loose from the ball. Now I just push a button and it breaks free no problem. I think is is a Bulldog that I got a great deal on. $225 if I remember correctly

First Mod - Electric Tongue Jack Empty Great service

Post  dalenoel Thu Mar 26, 2009 10:57 am

Mike, I also got a reman off of Ebay from Mantelli Trailer Sales in NY. Used it for the first time this weekend when I had to move the trailer for a short time.

Had a clicking noise in the mechanizm when going up or down. Called Mantelli on Monday at 11am and they suggested they get ahold of Ultra-Fab since that is the method that Ultra-Fab liked to use.

I expected a week before they would contact me. Boy was I wrong. At 1:30, 2.5 hours later, the factory called me and explained what they though would be the problem and said another would be shipped and I could then return the bad one in the same box they shipped a new on in.

Got home on Wednesday and the one from the factory had been delivered UPS.

I'll put it on this weekend and then call them for the UPS pickup for returning the bad one.

I've never had such good service from a dealer or manufacturer and both of them need to be commended for such great service.

Dale

I got mine on ebay from a dealer in TN but didn't put it on because I wanted the cover. I ended up ordering the cover from mantelli and when it gets here I will put it on.

First Mod - Electric Tongue Jack Empty electric tongue jack

Post  ellen and shawn Tue Apr 21, 2009 11:37 am

Is it best to go with a new tongue jack vs a rebuilt. I have seen different ones on Ebay and we want to get one ordered. My husband is pretty handy so I feel he can install ours. We have seen different people have used Atwood, others Ultra Fab 3500. What does Reman mean? Is that remanufactured? Anyway, I get so confused with all of the terminology! Thanks for such great advice everyone. We are so looking forward to getting our Jayco. We actually are going to Middlebury on May 4th to take a tour of the plant. They will have the 32bhds online then.
