USAA said it was covered under homeowners (full replacement) while in the driveway. Would be covered under auto insurance while camping/towing (full replacement also). Am I missing something as to have a seperate RV policy?

the way mine reads is if it is totalled they will get me a brand new 30 BHS. after 5 years, I will get $17,000 which is the purchase price as long as I keep continuous coverage.

the other thing I like is the liability insurance on the campsite if something happens on your site they cover it

Re: RV Insurance?

Post  Deweyandcrew on Sat Feb 28, 2009 5:47 pm

We had USAA on our last trailer, because we use them to cover everything-house, cars, etc. But when we bought the new TT, my wife was bugging me to doublecheck the USAA policy to see if it included total replacement value or depreciated replacement. Sure enough, it was depreciated value for the replacement. So with this new TT, I got a policy with Progressive. The coverage was MUCH better than what I thought I had with USAA.
